Heightened Anticipation?

Morning surcharged with an air of heightened anticipation – as though something momentous was in the offing. Nothing happened, except for some johnnies objecting to our exercising at a particular spot today. Apparently we had encroached upon their ‘area’ in the Garden. They could as well have told us directly; but they waited for Srichand Arora to turn up and conveyed their unhappiness through him. It was their way to ruin our happiness (lead pic) also.
That apart, the good news was that Razia Khan will not be withdrawing from the group booked for Kashmir. Looks like there has been some major damage control at work behind-the-scenes to persuade the lady into reversing her decision (see yesterday’s post). But Shekhawat announced that should anybody still want to opt out, s/he had one more day to decide. After August 25, he will not entertain any request for cancellations.
Alongside, Arora drew up a list of those wanting to avail of the free dental check-up offered by Signature Smiles (see post of August 21). The mobile clinic will be stationed at the Garden gate at 8.00 a.m. sharp on Saturday, August 25.
