Road Mapping

Hectic parleys marked today’s post-exercise session as Shekhawat unraveled the Club’s plans for the immediate future. The Diwali Party (in reciprocation to the Eid Party of September 26) is fixed for Friday, November 16 at Northern India Tadka restaurant, to be soon followed by a picnic, most likely at Gorai Beach. Travel and hotel bookings for the March 2013 trip to Vaishno Devi, etc. will also have to be finalized at the earliest.
With time running out, Shekhawat has obviously gathered more on his plate than he can possibly manage. He therefore suggested clubbing the Diwali party with the Gorai picnic, which met with instant approval. Subsequently, the proposal was shot down by some members who argued that the quality of food at Gorai would be suspect. Kajal Babani has now been entrusted (lead pic) with negotiating a fair deal with Northern India Tadka. She knows the management there.
As for the March 2013 trip, Arun Patil (left) has come to assume a pivotal role on finalizing the itinerary. He has already rejigged the travel plans by including Shimla in the programme, together with Katra, Manali, Dalhousie, Jwalamukhi, Amritsar, etc. Now he wants to drop one destination on grounds of logistics – besides economizing on time, money and physical strain.
Arun is also keen on reversing the direction of the trip – thereby starting with Amritsar and ending at Jammu, from where the journey to Mumbai would have to be undertaken by train. It seems the Mumbai-Jammu sector has a limited number of six or seven flight tickets at discounted rates. The only other option, he says, is to book a small chartered aircraft for 30-odd passengers – failing which, Vaishno Devi/ Jammu might have to be dropped from the itinerary. Watch this space.

* Bade handsome lag rahe ho Arun-bhai iss photu mein!
* Kajal-ji has assured us of getting at least 50% discount from Northern India Tadka. To achieve this objective, she has decided to perform the Lion-Lioness Laughter in front of the restaurant manager. (Those who would'nt know the Lion-Lioness bano exercise, please check some of our Sunday posts.)

Agendas, events, so much to do in such a short time. Volunteers required for assistance please!

Thanks a ton for stating your opinions. Being a writer, I am always in need of unique and different situations to think about a topic. I actually uncover fantastic creativity in doing this. Many thanks.

Kajal-ji has assured that she will get us at-least 50% discount from Northern-India-Tadka. To achieve this objective, she has decided to do the “Lion-Lioness laughter” exercise before their management, with the select few who do it so vociferously, at the garden each day. !. More volunteers welcome to join.
