Bihari Milwani celebrates grand-fatherhood with pedas |
But there was a bigger cause for celebration today. One of our newer members, Bihari Kishinchand Milwani has turned grandfather. His daughter in Bournemounth, U.K. has been blessed with a baby boy and he celebrated the arrival of this new British citizen in the family with pedas after the exercises. It was a proud occasion for the two-day old grandfather as he pumped hands and posed for pictures with friends. Our blessings and good wishes go to the new born and the parents as well.
Moments such as these make our day. And it is not just the sharing of good news or the many celebrations, but the sense of bonding every member enjoys with the Club that we cherish most. If Sitaram Hivarkar confides in Srichand Arora on things bothering him or the fact that Sunita Jajodia finds a sounding board in Santosh Tyagi, it is because we are family to one another. We constantly seek a means to unburden our woes and that may not always be possible at home – especially at an advanced age. Of course, we all know that there is little anyone can do to alleviate our problems, except perhaps lending a sympathetic ear. But that sense of trust, at being taken into confidence, is what makes our association with the Club both humbling and uplifting. Life in the Garden is therefore not always chikki and celebrations. It is more about shared experiences.
Harish Wadhwa:
* Nice words to sum up the blog today. Very well said... that the Garden meet is more about shared experiences.
* Congratulations to Bihari-ji on becoming a grandfather. Well, you look too young to be one.
* Women in the pic are keeping their eyes fixed on the chikkis... Kya baat hai!
* Men seem to be enjoying the pedas with their mouths full.
Moral: While women like to keep an 'eye' on the goodies, men 'believe' in enjoying them! LOL
Jagmohan Papneja:
* Congratulations Mrs and Mr Bihari Milwani on the birth of your grandson. God bless the new arrival.
* It is indeed a great feeling to be a part of the group that shares experiences among themselves. As a result, when trouble develops, we gasp in unison. And when desires are fulfilled, we smile together.
