Agenda for SGM

Jagmohan Papneja reads out agenda for December 6 meeting
Jagmohan Papneja today read out the agenda for the special general body meeting (SGM) scheduled this Saturday, December 6, 2014. As mentioned earlier (ref post of November 28), the meeting will coincide with our picnic at Chhota Kashmir and will be followed by lunch on the house.
In his capacity as secretary of the Club, Papneja stressed upon two points to be discussed at the meeting: one, apprise members on the “implications consequent upon the registration of Big Laaf” on November 15, 2014;
Gupta studies Arora's resignation letter
and two, chalk out “welfare activities” the Club might undertake over the next one year. Members would also be free to raise any other point of common concern/ dispute in order to obtain clarity on the direction the Club is headed.
Ved Prakash Grover offers crispy gajak from Delhi
In the normal course of our daily exercises and hanging out together in the Garden every morning, we seldom get the chance to discuss such weighty issues. Hence the purpose of convening this meeting.
Meanwhile, Bijoy Gupta was once again provoked to stake his claim for ‘presidentship’ of the Club for a consideration. He drew encouragement from the current incumbent Srichand Arora putting in his papers and at the behest of Dilip Babani, was ready to even raise his bid to two lakh, but on one critical condition: he must get the cheque signing authority for the Club! He promised party after party on a gala scale once he is anointed president. Of course, this was all idle time-pass not to be taken seriously. The madcap hilarity was accompanied by soft and crispy gajak, courtesy Ved Prakash Grover. His son had picked them up on a recent trip to Delhi and had thoughtfully saved some for us. Thank you, Dharmender.
Jagmohan Papneja:
* I hope all members will attend the SGM on Saturday. I expect everyone to not only participate actively in the discussions but also enjoy the day picnic.
* Thanks a lot for the crispy gajak. This is the best season to savor this delicacy. Indeed, dil maange more!
