Celebrating Adnan's birthday

A morning of three birthdays coinciding – that of Teja Singh Bhambra, Jiah Jadeja and Adnan Mohammad Ali Kagzi.

The celebrations would have all been in absentia, were it not for the ‘fashionably late’ arrival of Jiah, long after the exercises were over and her grandmother, Sunita Jajodia had distributed biscuit packets to mark the occasion. Jiah had turned two – a charming, little tot with large, intelligent eyes. And it seemed like just the other day that we had ushered in her first birthday in the Garden with a huge yellow teddy, while she studied us from the warm comfort of Teja Singh’s lap (ref post of January 12, 2014). Indeed, how quickly kids grow!
This time around, Teja Singh is in Faridabad (ref post of December 31, 2014) celebrating with his family and friends back home. An early morning phone call found him in good health and spirits as he sent his wishes to all in the Club. In keeping with convention, we raised an extra laugh for him after the exercises, wishing him many happy returns of the day.
An extra laugh also went up for Mallika Kagzi’s grandson, Adnan who turned seven today. We have not met him yet, but through his grandmother we conveyed our blessings and good wishes. We also thank him for the wonderful treat of hot tea and hotter samosas – just what the doctor ordered on a cold winter morning.

Many, many happy returns of the day, Teja Singh-ji. Wishing you a wonderful time with your family. Also, Happy Birthday to Jia and Adnan -- the second and third future members of our club. Guess, who's the first?

Birthday is a special day. It is celebrated even in absentia by the Club. So we were all overjoyed to celebrate the birthday of Teja Singh-ji. The birthday of the two kids also brought us a lot of happiness. The arrival of Jiah in the Club was particularly enjoyable. We wish Adnan was also present to bring more happiness. Wishing them all a happy, healthy and enjoyable life ahead.
