It was Mallika Kagzi's turn today to take charge of the laughter exercises. |

So it came as a pleasant surprise for all when Dilip materialized this morning, as usual his cheerful self. His trouser issues have gone and he has regained his former size and shape, though he complained of a new throat problem. Obviously not wanting to take chances, he refrained from indulging in the eats and tea, courtesy Santosh Tyagi, Mallika Kagzi and Sushma Gupta.

Santosh Tyagi brought chikkis today |
From Santosh, today’s chikkis made for a 'double treat', as she had distributed gajaks yesterday. Mallika had loads of mutton cutlets (she now threatens to bring veg cutlets on Monday) followed by gallons of tea. If those were not enough, Sushma came up with pineapple cakes as dessert. Word went around that her London-based son is taking an engineer girl from Delhi as his bride.
Earlier, in keeping with the spirit of newness, we had a new ‘teacher’ in Mallika to conduct the two laughter sessions this morning. She follows closely in the footsteps of Kiran Prakash and Sunita Jajodia, though the former got a ‘promotion’ today by being invited to take charge of the free-hand exercises. And with many more bright, young faces showing up in the circle, we seem to have successfully shed the inertia of the past few years and are moving towards an increasingly healthy and promising future.
That, in the real sense, is what newness in the New Year should be about.
Kiran Prakash:
Unlike day before, I was pushed/ invited by Razia-ji today to conduct the free-hand exercises. As I was not able to recollect the sequence, Razia-ji and others kept guiding me. Arun Patil gently chided me for going too fast and teasing Shekhawat-ji in the middle. But honestly I enjoyed, thanks to group support. I must also confess my total admiration for Razia-ji for her unconditional love, affection and support for everybody. We feel energised in her company. She can match any top HRD professional. May God keep her in the pink of health and good spirits.
