Low Gear

Fingers being pointed at Shekhawat for no particular reason
The Club is once again on low gear given the vagaries of the weather. The sky was overcast all morning, threatening to open up any moment. Consequently, many like Yusuf Rassiwala, Naseer Putani Shah, Karuna Waghmare, Zareena Khan, Razia Khan… did not venture out of their homes to exercise. In the end, it did not rain a drop.
Adding to the dull atmosphere was the sudden waning of interest in the ongoing World Cup fixtures
Siba Prasad Maitra
in Russia – a hot subject of conversation for many since June 14. With top contenders like Germany, Argentina and Portugal getting knocked out over the week-end, the emotional connect with the championship seems to have snapped. In fact, a hard core football fanatic like Bijoy Gupta did not even switch on the TV for the Denmark-Croatia match last night and was in time for the exercises this morning.
Siba Prasad Maitra tried to inject some cheer by talking cinema and recounted how much he enjoyed watching Sanju – a biographical blockbuster on Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt. He urged us all to go watch the movie as it will ‘remove all misconceptions anybody might have’ about the film star.
Looks like plans are already afoot in the Club for a group outing to a nearby cineplex to watch Sanju this coming Thursday -- July 5.

Lord Indra is playing hide and seek. At places where it had rained, he is wreaking havoc and bringing a lot of misery. Other places are dry and crying for rain. All the same, one must get tuned up in the morning to go to the Garden for the exercises and a good laugh. The effort is worth it.

God Indra is playing hide and seek. At places, where it had rained, it has played havoc and brought lot of misery to the population. The other places are dry and crying for rain. The weather is sultry and listless. One does not like to do anything. All the same, one must get tuned up in the morning and come to garden for laughing and exercise The trouble is worth it.
