Lull After Storm

After two days of hectic activity, we had a ‘lull after the storm’ at the Garden today. But it was a happy storm. The movie outing for Sanju was still discussed, mainly because of the virtuoso performance of lead actor Ranbir Kapoor. And the Eid bash yesterday at China Gate was brought up mainly as a tease for those like Zareena Khan who missed it.
Bijoy Gupta was however, at his wit’s end figuring out why his friend Shekhawat had reported for the movie the day-before a clear one hour before time. The latter’s explanation that being an ex- fauji (and hence, a stickler for punctuality) he did not want to be late, could scarcely convince Gupta. He insisted Shekhawat was on a movie date. And the best part was that the date had ditched Shekhawat!
There was also talk of a trip being taken out to Udaipur and Mt Abu in November. Also on the cards is a grand ‘combined birthday party’ from the Club’s July-borns in a nearby restaurant/ hotel. Before that, Fahmida Khan wants to host an Eid party for members next week. So there's still a lot happening. Watch this space.

After the grand Eid Party, certainly a break was needed. This has come through. Now relax for some time, before the next event.

There is only one Eid in 2018. Then why are there more than one Eid party in 2018?
