The next General Body meeting of the Club has been fixed for the week-end, i.e. December 15 (Saturday). A notice to this effect will be issued by secretary Srichand Arora (pic below) and circulated among members tomorrow.
The decision follows a long-standing demand from various sections of the Club anxious to raise certain issues from time to time. Now that almost all the office bearers, including Yusuf Rassiwala and Razia Khan are attending the exercises regularly, it was felt that this would be the right time to convene the meeting.
Chairman Hari Singh Shekhawat, who is away for a family wedding at his native village in Rajasthan, should be back in time for the meeting.
On the agenda are two important issues: one, review of membership – which should include expulsions (if any) as well as admissions; and two, registration of the Club, in order to facilitate generation of funds. The latter is a formality that has been kept in abeyance in the absence of a concerted move in this direction.
Members are also welcome to raise any other issue with the permission of the Chair.

Besides the topics suggested, we formally need to review the Statement of Accounts. Also, debate on how to spend a part of this for the welfare of the needy. Let's walk the talk the charter of Big Laaf. Suggest, let us not run behind fund generation, but gracefully just accept what comes. Make the activities fun. Only one rule applies: laughter, happiness and consciousness... while all other rules can take a back seat.
