The option now left with us is to push Sports Day to either the next day, i.e. January 13 (a Sunday), or perhaps to some date later. The former was initially agreed upon, but it turns out that many members would be preoccupied with Lohri and/ or the Makar Sankranti celebrations around that time.

This is the third time that the event has been deferred and it is no coincidence that a consensus cannot still be reached on a ‘convenient’ date. Clearly, there is more to what meets the eye.

At least Kishor Babani has been honest enough to admit that he is mortally afraid of the 'charge of the cheetah brigade' and would rather rest at home on Sports Day. Bose Babu too has made no secret of his intention to run for his life with lota and kambal should an eventuality arise. Others too are scared stiff – with the possible exception of our ‘Sherdil’ Pratap Bhatt. He is the only braveheart who can take on a cheetah tooth and nail. In fact, we can well imagine him jubilantly riding the cheetah – only that he wouldn’t know what to do afterwards. Damned if he continues sitting astride the animal and damned if he tries to get down. Before he figures out, we would all be happily home.
Pity, Bhatt is away in Australia at present.
Harish Wadhwa:
* Sorry guys, maybe I'd make the preparations and hand over to you people so that you can go ahead and enjoy the day. I have an office assignment on Saturday which cannot be skipped.
* There is nothing to fear. Humans are more dangerous than animals!
Renu Babani's PICSPEAK:
* Now what further discussions are required... the gentlemen's committee meeting!
* I am not that dangerous as I look, just a bit hungry that's all.
P.S.: Let's hope that a feasible date is fixed for everyone interested. Otherwise a day picnic is long overdue at some resort!

Fulfilling job commitments is one's first and foremost duty and Harish-ji is wisely doing so. He has planted the seeds for Sports Day and we would reap the harvest.

There is nothing to fear. Human beings in general are more dangerous, unpredictable and manipulative, than the animals. !.
