Yusuf Rassiwala announces tomorrow's Eid get-together and lunch

Two major announcements were made today.
The first, made by Shekhawat, was about the movie outing scheduled this morning for Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju, featuring Ranbir Kapoor in the title role: ‘Those interested must gather outside the booking office of PVR theatre at least 15 minutes ahead of time.

The movie starts at 11:40 a.m. I’d expect everyone to be punctual so that tickets can be booked together in one lot.”

was from Yusuf Rassiwala: ‘We are having an Eid Party tomorrow afternoon at Hotel China Gate, near Infiniti Mall. It is one among the cluster of many restaurants, just opposite the Maruti showroom. You cannot miss it. The place is being booked roughly between 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Only members are invited.’
On a rough count, around 10 members had raised their hands for the movie outing – Banoo Apa, Nahid Khan, Bhaswati Bose, Bijoy Gupta, Karun Sharma, Santosh Tyagi, etc. Incidentally, Siba Prasad Maitra had spoken highly of this biographical blockbuster (ref post of June 2). The last movie outing from the Club was for Raazi on May 25, 2018.
As for the Eid get-together and lunch tomorrow, the best part was that almost all the members present accepted Yusuf R’s invite on-the-spot. Those not present in the morning conveyed their acceptance later, on phone, through Shekhawat.
According to Kiran Prakash and Dilip Babani, China Gate is rated as the best Chinese restaurant in our part of town -- if not Mumbai. Still, Yusuf R had checked the place with Dilip last evening and came out thoroughly impressed.
Looks like we are in for a gala time tomorrow.
