Three ladies showed up today |
So what were the valuable lessons we learnt from the Garden today?
1. Ulta-Pulta Counting: Nahid Khan taught us that it is not at all necessary to count in a certain order. She told us, for example, how to start from 1, 2…then jump to 4, revert to 3, then again jump to 5 and so on till you get mad.
Taking the cue, Bihari Milwani suggested we count backwards: 10, 9, 8, 7… for a change. And then came the mix-‘n’-match – 6, 5, 3, 2, 4 and 1. After all, no doctor has ever prescribed that we need to count in a particular sequence.
2. Three-and-Half Laughs: Three laughs are a given. But half a laugh? We tried this experimentally yesterday by letting out three loud laughs
Happy Birthday, Najma Sayed |
Today, a similar scenario emerged with Rukhsana Khan, Banoo Apa and Nahid Khan being the only ladies in the group. So from an experiment yesterday, we graduated to perfecting the three-and-half laugh today.
3. Faith Healing: From championing the validity of miracle cures and faith healers (see yesterday's post), Shekhawat did a somersault today by declaring that nobody should get into the “chukkar” of such charlatans. “Always go by the advice of a professional doctor,” he proclaimed (only to provoke Bijoy Gupta to ask innocently, "Not nurses?”) So like a good boy, Shekhawat shall now keep his appointment with the naval hospital on September 17.
Three lessons were enough for the day.
Karun Sharma:
Happy Teachers' Day. We all need to be better learners to become better teachers. It was very creative to count randomly, as suggested by Nahid. I am in Delhi-NCR (Gurugram) to assess a 'Management System for Educational Organisation'. This looks to be prestigious. It is the first opportunity for one to get involved with such a management system because this ISO standard was released only in May 2018.
Bihari Milwani:
Shekhawat-ji has decided to keep his appointment with the naval hospital because he has come to know that the doctor operating on him is a lady and she is young and beautiful too.
Geeta Latte:
Many many many many many happy returns of the day ππ Najma aunty ππ!
Dilip Babani:
A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NAJMA-JI.
