Listless Monday

Bihari and his daughter drop by this morning
A long, listless and lethargic Monday morning, the effects of a relaxed weekend yet to wear off. The sense of ennui was all the more palpable because the week gone by was fairly busy and despite the rains, we were having a full house right through. Today, the morning was bright and sunny, but in the absence of a number of key members like Sitaram Hivarkar and Santosh Tyagi (she has taken off for Delhi), the zing in the air was missing. We went through our motions in workmanlike fashion and were done with the exercises long before time.
The only departure from routine was the sudden appearance of our good old ‘Happy Sunday’ – Bihari Kishinchand Milwani. He joined us for the exercises (after what seemed like ages) and then introduced his daughter, Karishma who is leaving for the U.S. to pursue a Masters in Sciences (MS). The Milwanis are family friends of Srichand Arora and the girl had come to seek his blessings and say her goodbyes before she flies to California the day-after tomorrow. We too wish her well.

There are rises and falls, and ups and downs in all walks of life. Our club is no exception.
Srichand Arora:
All the best, dear Karishma. Have a very joyful stay in the USA. Padai toh hoti hi rahati hai, per thori masti bhee to hone chahiye naa! Take care.
