Sumptuous Send-off!

We didn’t even have to invent an excuse for today’s Saturday Party. For what could be any better than a sumptuous send-off to the 26-member group embarking on a week-long expedition of Jodhpur and Jaisalmer, beginning tomorrow?

They were all there in full strength – making merry, cheering one another, laughing and joking… It was one of those rare occasions when getting separated was being celebrated.
But it was all for a good reason. After all, were it not for the Club how many of our seniors could have ventured out on their own? Apart from the thrill of exploring new places, there is always that gratifying aspect of re-discovering self-confidence and strengthening familial bonds among themselves.
Those of us unable to go on the trip can only be wishing them well – for a happy and safe journey. We look forward to hearing their stories when they return to the Garden -- on Monday, February 13, 2017.

Looks like the baarat (marriage party) is going to the bride's house and will be back on 13th February, in time to celebrate Valentine's Day the following morning.
