Let Down

After so much of action and high drama the whole of last week, today came as a major let down. Everyone was at his/her best behaviour (many in fact, did not turn up) in anticipation of Srichand Arora’s (right) return from Singapore – only to be informed that there has been a change of plans. “Just could not avoid the trip to Australia,” he said in a brief message. “Shall be back on Friday and returning Saturday. Bye till then.”
Nafisa Sayyad’s (left) birthday would have made up for a generally lacklustre morning, were it not for her eye problem which requires urgent medical attention. She is a diabetic and has a corneal angiography lined up during the day. So preoccupied was she with the hospital procedures that she had to be reminded that it was her birthday today.
We wish her well and pray that she is out of distress sooner than later.
