Focus on Saturday

Kiran Prakash (extreme right) discusses the programme for April 18
Preparations for the so-called 'Biryani Nite' (ref post of April 9) this weekend have gathered momentum. With five days left for the event, Kiran Prakash today shared his thoughts on how the evening is to be scheduled and the various plans and programs he had in mind. He also delegated duties to members, the idea being to involve as many members (especially ladies) as possible, rather than concentrate the decision-making at one point.
Broadly, Srichand Arora will officiate as ‘Master of Ceremonies’ for the evening as he would compere the show – including a running commentary on the photographs to be screened. As mentioned earlier, Harish Wadhwa would take care of the projection and sound equipment while Monthi Serrao would conduct the Housie Session. In fact, she would be the one to flag off the proceedings at 6:30 p.m. till such time it is dark enough to start the slide-show projection. This would be followed by antaakshari, songs and dances (mainly by the ladies) with Bhaswati Bose as the coordinator. A jokes session by Santosh Tyagi is also on the cards, but of course, everything is subject to the approval and convenience of all involved. In another couple of days, things should firm up and we would get a clearer picture of the programme.
Separately, Shekhawat and Arora are finalising the lists of vegetarians and non-vegetarians (both for members and guests) before Arun Patil places the order for biryani packets.
Kiran Prakash:
I am indeed privileged to be associated with Big Laaf. It is a matter of pride that we have thought of such an event and every member is contributing his/ her best to make it a grand success. I must mention particularly Arora-ji and the Bhaswati/Monthi duo for their detail planning and preparation to ensure that the 18th evening is well remembered by all.
Bihari Milwani:
All the best to members and their spouses in making the inaugural event a grand success.

Hello just wanted to give you a brief heads up and let you know a few of the images aren't loading
correctly. I'm not sure why but I think its a linking issue.
I've tried it in two different internet browsers and both show
the same results.
