MISSION ACCOMPLISHED: Shekhawat shares photographs of the trip |
Hari Singh Shekhawat, the group leader, was the first (and the only one) to report for the exercises this morning. Looking rejuvenated and excited, he walked into the Garden with an extra spring in his step, eyes crinkled with mischief, face red, and of course, a wide grin pasted ear to ear.
“I cannot describe the women there,” he said in reply to Srichand Arora’s first query if he had come back after making additional saalis. “Arrey, they are b*chod so tough that b*chod they can carry two-two gas cylinders on their back and walk up and down the hills and b*chod nothing happens to them!”
Rihana and Uzma, our guests today |
Notwithstanding the profusion of expletives, Shekhawat’s spirited narration and description of the “scene-scenery” of the places the group had visited threw us in splits. He had come equipped with photographs of those places and singled out the Bakhthang Falls as the best spot where you feel “Aah… Aahaaah…”
However, for all the joy and happy moments they shared, Shekhawat felt sorry for Zarina Khan, Mohammad Gulzar, Nahid Khan and Gayatri Talreja who were unwell from time to time. The biggest scare came from Yusuf Rassiwala’s wife, who slipped and hurt herself in the hotel bathroom at Darjeeling. She was administered injections and could not stir out of bed for a day. Fortunately it was not a cracked hip as suspected, but a muscle twist. Still, the doctor has advised her to take an X-ray in Mumbai to eliminate any possibility of a hairline fracture.
Jagmohan Papneja:
Darjeeling is one of the best tourist destinations in India. The culture there is unique and so is the tea. I regret not visiting this beautiful 'queen of the hills' till date. I would love to go there at the earliest opportune time.
Sunita Milwani:
Cheers for Shekhawat. Though the ladies over there are strong and can carry two cylinders up the valley, Shekhawat carried not two but twenty ladies and that too from Mumbai to Gangtok and back -- a distance of over 2000 miles and is still fresh, strong, energetic and ready to go once again with 40 ladies this time!
