Blog is Back

Back in form... it's business as usual at the Garden
Today is July 8 and the blog is back on schedule. The Boses are also back on schedule bringing with them little goodies from Greece and Italy – Florentine croissants, hard cheese from Rome and chocos from Athens. The only thing missing was Mallika Kagzi’s flavoured tea. That would have topped a very entertaining and enjoyable morning.
However, the most heartening part was that Shekhawat and Gupta are still over with getting on each other’s case, in spite of Arora’s repeated warnings of a showdown between the two. “Playing pranks is fine, but one day both of them shall have such a bitter fight that it will be impossible for us to restrain them,” he cautioned.
But the warnings fell into deaf ears. Even the yelp of some dog at a distance was enough for Shekhawat to provoke Gupta during the exercises: “Go check, somebody is telling you something!”
“Not to me, he is saying something to you,” Gupta shot back.
“But only you understand that language,” Shekhawat egged him.
“No, that language is coming from Rajasthan,” Gupta clarified, suggesting the yelps were from Shekhawat’s village.
“No, it is coming from behind you,” Shekhawat persisted.

“No the sound is from your behind,” Gupta insisted.
“Does your behind sound like that?” Shekhawat was curious, not giving in. And so on and on they went, short of grabbing each other’s throats, but all in good humour.
Some time back Gupta took a swipe at Shekhawat’s obsession with the railway train, even as there was nobody to follow his ‘engine’. Since a majority of our members (who constitute the coaches of the train) were absent due to Ramzaan, Shekhawat presented a strange picture of an engine chugging without coaches. “The engine has become a widow,” Gupta remarked in mock sympathy.
Today Shekhawat clarified that for long his “coaches had been in the yard for repairs” and to prove his point, he mobilized nearly a dozen ‘coaches’ behind him much to Gupta’s surprise: “Arrey, the train has started running again!”
Now what can anybody say about such talk? Even school kids could do better.
Harish Wadhwa:
The blog is back and so is the monster behind it. Thanks for the lovely hard cheese from Rome and the chocolate from Greece. They were truly lovely. Please visit more often so than we can benefit from the goodies that follow! The BC chai also happened after a log gap of two months and we cherished our moments of banter.
Kiran Prakash:
The Boses are back. The blog is back. And the stories of entertainment are back.
The master of the laughter round, Bose Babu raised the fourth laugh -- of course, on demand -- for his own return.
The croissants were really delicious. It went very well with tea at home. Cheese from Italy is well known all over the world. Still not opened.
The Shekhawat-Gupta duo is the pivot around which all the entertainment revolves these days. Thanks to them, we remain upbeat.

The Boses are back. The blog is back. And with that the stories and entertainment are back in print. The master of the laughter round, Bose babu is back in the middle, raising the fourth laugh, of course on demand, for his return. The Croissants were really delicious. It went very well with tea at home. Cheese from Italy is well known all over the world. Still not opened. Shekhawat/Gupta duo is the pivotal around which the entire entertainment wing of the club rotates. Thanks to them for keeping us entertained. ..Kiran Prakash
