The incident hogged headlines for weeks, but this time Santosh did not talk much. She appeared genuinely disturbed. And now she has to deal with the Mira Tower kaands...
“The tragedy about living in Mumbai is that we become incredibly self-centered and indifferent,” Santosh muses. “We don’t even know who lives next door. You enter your house and lock out the world. There is no interaction with anybody in the neighborhood. Why, the other day my watchman asked me for identity proof. Even he does not know I stay in the building!”
