Timing Change?

Yesterday’s reassurances seem to have worked. Known late-comers ambled in at their own sweet pace while the exercises were on, least afraid of inviting any punishment. Many like Pratap Bhatt, Sushma Gupta, Ramila Mistry and Khatoon Baig, who had absented themselves yesterday, showed up all-smiles. Only Dilip Babani stayed away, as he appears to be still traumatized by the prospect of being made a murga. Responding to his anxious SOS (see comments of November 29) Srichand Arora rushed in this morning to bail him out – should he be made to do the sit-ups. Obviously Dilip had no faith in his saviour and chose to remain scarce even today, rather than take chances!
Hari Naraiyani however found a novel way out to resolve the late-comers’ issue. He proposed a change in the timing of commencement of exercises, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. during these winter months. A half-hour delay will not only ensure punctuality but also help those who come from a distance. The proposal finds resonance with requests, particularly from the ladies who have to walk down from the far reaches of Millat Nagar, SVP Nagar and Jogeshwari, negotiating deserted streets and by-lanes in the early morning darkness.
Significantly, Hari-bhai was in exceptionally high spirits this morning as he kept passing reckless comments and once interrupted the exercises to narrate a joke. Later, the cause for his garrulousness became clear: Today was an important day in his life. He was married on this day 48 years ago – when he was 32. In the pic above, an over-joyous Arora is seen congratulating him on the occasion. We too wish him and Mrs Naraiyani the very best and many more years of togetherness.
The long-awaited announcement on the wedding of Geeta Sardhana’s daughter came this morning. Since all members of the Club have been invited to the ceremony on December 18, Hari Singh Shekhawat (left) requested everybody to confirm in the next three or four days as to who would be attending. This would only facilitate the hosts in organising for the hospitality.
Renu Babani:
I don't think changing the time will be welcomed, especially by the ladies. The timing at present is convenient for all. So, for now, let's leave it at that. If one is determined to attend the morning exercises, then timing shouldn't be a problem. Yes, Hari-bhai was in good spirits, singing merrily on his own, oblivious to everyone else laughing at him. That gentleman does whatever suits him and doesn't care for what others think. Congrats to him and his wife on their wedding anniversary and God Bless. The topic being discussed is the movie Dirty Picture. Many members are interested in watching this movie and it will be fun no doubt seeing it together. Let's wait and see the outcome tomorrow morning.
Harish Wadhwa:
* Being late is fine. After all, we need the early morning deep sleep while the weather cools down. Some members unfortunately get kicked out of their homes: "Jaao baahar aur hamein soney doh!" Why should they penalise those who enjoy their comfort for a little longer time (pun intended)? All those who come early should go for a brisk walk and take a few more rounds of the Garden while others come in. LOL
* Can I ask -- Why is everyone curious to see The Dirty Picture instead of Jai Hanuman, Krishna, or the discourses of Jaya Row? Every morning they chant "Ram Ram Bol, Krishna Krishna Bol" and all they want to do is see The Dirty Picture, leaving their children and loved ones at home. Men are men. Yahaan toh women are equally interested? Kya baat, kya baat, kya baat... Any takes?

Coming late is fine...!@$, after all we all need that early deep morning sleep, as the weather cools down. Some of the members unfortunately get kicked out from their homes, to give peace and tranquality to other members of the home. "Jao bahar aur hamen sone do". So why should they penalise the ones who enjoy the comfort for a little longer time ?. (Pun intended and therefore should be read in a lighter note). All those who come early should go for a brisk walk and take a few more rounds of the garden, as others come in. LOL

Can I ask, why everyone is so curious and wishes to see "the Dirty Picture" instead of "Jai Hanuman", "Krishna", or "Morning Discourses of Jaya Rao". ?. Every morning they all chant "Bam Bam Bol, Krishna Krishna Bol ...and all of them want to see the maitnee or night show of the Dirty Picture, leaving their children and loved ones behind at home.
