Cold Wave

Karuna Waghware
As large parts of India continue to be in the grip of a crippling cold wave, Karuna Waghmare did the unthinkable today. She caught an early morning flight to Allahabad – to take a freezing dip in the holy waters of Triveni Sangam. Bathing in this confluence of rivers during the ongoing Magh (Kumbh) Mela is considered super auspicious. It is supposed to “wash away all your sins and free you from the cycle of rebirth”.
Shekhawat wants to undertake this pilgrimage later in year, in October, in rather hospitable conditions.
Jokes narration... for a few more laafs
So while we expressed our concern to Karuna on Saturday – on how she would endure the bone-chilling cold and the precautions she ought to take to prevent pneumonia – Shekhawat was more interested in the "facilities" available there and accordingly, instructed Karuna to check out on the “best hotels, taxi hire, guide, etc.” so as to make his visit comfortable. Quite prudently, he expects all gain, without the pain.
Meanwhile, here in Mumbai, we are fast coming to terms with the dipping mercury and darkness in the mornings. An occasional gust of wind adds to the winter chill in the Garden. But we are also learning to enjoy this weather, knowing well that for the rest of the year, we shall have to sweat it out in horrible heat and humidity. Thus we are continuing with our routine of masti-mazaak, leg pulling, jokes narration… and of course, we do our exercises as well.
Bihari Milwani:
Shekhawat is a gentleman. He honestly advises gentleladies to collect details for a comfortable journey. He takes the trouble of getting all the details for other gentleladies so that they really admire him from the bottom of their heart.
