A Beautiful Mind

Bihari Milwani
We had our moment of ‘eternal beauty and spotless mind’ this morning. More correctly, it was Karuna Waghmare’s moment today. For, out of the blue,
Admiring looks: Karuna (c) is overwhelmed by Milwani's gift
when she least expected it, an anonymous packet landed in her hands with the message, “Achche bachche nahin rotey”. Good girls don’t cry.
The packet contained a lovely montage of Karuna’s most candid photographs taken in the Garden over time. Beautifully laid out and mounted on hard board, it made for a priceless memento that only one person was capable of conceiving: Bihari Milwani.
Obviously moved by Karuna's 'plight' yesterday (see post), the man had taken time out to select those charming images from this blog so that she needn’t have to wait till her birthday at the end of the year for her official calendar.
The Pehchaan Kaun-14 contest is extended by a week due to insufficient entries
More than the effort and the hours spent in making the compilation, it was the thought behind this gesture that brought a lump in many throats.
After all, Karuna was nobody to Milwani, but for being another member of the Club. Yet, he was the only one to think of a way of bringing a smile to her lips.
He succeeded, and in no small measure. The moment the packet was handed to Karuna, her face lit up and like an excited schoolgirl, she asked, “Is this for me?” She carefully pored over the photographs, completely dumbstruck, a bemused look playing on her face. “When were these pictures taken?” she squeaked, unable to suppress her emotion.
Significantly, Milwani had left by then. He had come to the Garden, did the exercises with us till the end and soon after the prayers, he was gone.
Clearly, he wanted no part of the credit in all this. Everything was done discreetly, without ceremony and expecting nothing in return. That, by itself, speaks volumes of a beautiful mind.
Bihari Milwani:
Beautiful evidence produced on a beautiful blog, proving beautifully the beautiful mind which made even the beautiful tigress smile beautifully.

Did Mr Milwani leave early to evade being identified for Pehchaan Kaun-14? He is the only one to wear a different number shoe in each foot.
Kiran Prakash (from Bangkok):
So nice of Mr Milwani. Unbelievable!
Lt Col Angad Singh (from Bangalore):
Well done, Milwani-ji. Your creative mind and good gesture have brought a smile on the face of Mrs Waghmare. Heartiest congratulations!
Shibu Roy:
