Jiya Rajput, the girl who joined us on the picnic to Saina Resort last month (ref post of October 14), surfaced this morning in the Garden for the exercises.

As Moti Gursahaney’s (adopted) grand-daughter, she had endeared herself to us on the trip by her pleasing nature and boundless energy, prompting Rukhsana Khan to chide her affectionately today: “What, we thought you had forgotten us after that picnic.”
Shekhawat was so chuffed on seeing Jiya that in the absence of his best buddy Bijoy Gupta, he pounced upon her, growling and snarling during the Lion and Lioness Round. Later, he was to ask, “Who is she?” He said the face looked familiar, but he could not recollect where he had seen her last!
* Sayeeda Sayed also showed up after a fortnight. She suffers from periodic migraine attacks and this time around, it got so severe that she was perforce home-bound for over a week. Later, she had to rush to Surat on work and returned last evening.

Banoo Apa distributes chunks of soan papdi

She promised to join us for the Juhu Beach bash on November 10 (Sunday).
* Banoo Apa’s husband, Dr Muhammed Farooq Khan very kindly sent us a box of soan papdi.
He may not be a member of the Club, but is so much an inalienable part of us that any special do without his august presence is simply not conceivable. Sadly, of late, he is keeping indifferent health.
* Karun Sharma broke the news that the film his son, Mayur has scripted is smashing box-office records. Even after a week of its release, Housefull 4 is running to full houses. This is a major career boost for Mayur Sharma, who is credited as screenplay writer of the film. While basking in the reflected glory, the Club congratulates this young talent and extends its good wishes on bringing home bigger laurels in future.

Karun Sharma:
It was good to see Jiya joining our exercises. A small spelling correction in the name of my son may be made. His name is Madhur Sharma. Housefull 4 has crossed Rs135 crore and is moving towards 'Super Hit' category. Madhur is really doing us proud.
